The following is a short Editorial on John and Yoko's peace initiative written by The Montreal Gazette. It was published on Monday, June 2, 1969 and listed on page 6 of their newspaper.

Embeatled peace

Anyone who thinks the Beatles have lost the beat will have to take another look -- at Beatle John Lennon, "lying-in for peace" on the seventeenth floor of the Queen Elizabeth and telling pacifists around the world to stand up and be counted.

Never before has the world been protested upon such a great height.

Incidentally, the "lying-in" is at the Queen Elizabeth Hotel, not the hospital.
