UNCUT magazine: "The Beatles -- The Complete Story"

Wow! I don't normally go around giving out big raves for magazines, but the publishers of UNCUT clearly outdid themselves. They have assembled from the archives of the New Musical Express, all original reviews, interviews and photos of the Beatles from 1962 - 1970.

This magazine has just been released and I would categorize UNCUT's publication as falling into the same hallmark of excellence similar to one published a few years ago by Q magazine: "The Beatles - Band of the Century".

Folks, UNCUT's edition is a "must-have" for any Beatle collector. Apart from the original interviews and reviews that NME did with the Beatles from back then (and there are many to be found in this edition) the publishers from UNCUT also included NME's top chart action - hit by hit- all of the number ones the Beatles did. They also include Beatle ads -- pages packed with moptop merchandise. They explore everything here, from Merseybeat to the Maharishi to the eventual breakup of the band.

All in all, just a great publication...surely to become a collectors item.
